FIRST LEGO One-Day Camps

All day camps are held at the Kettering University FIRST Robotic Community Center. Need-based scholarships are available and may be applied if student qualifies for free/reduced school lunches. Each student receives a T-shirt. 

Drop Off is no more than 15 minutes before class starts. Pick Up is no more than 15 minutes after class ends. Bring a lunch, unless otherwise noted. 

JFLL We Do Mechanical Objects 1.2

Build a soccer ball kicker or a goalie. There are 13 other mechanisms students can build that move with motors, gears, pulleys and sensors.

JFLL We Do Mechanical Objects 2.0

The We Do 2.0 uses a blue tooth transmitter to allow the children to build object to move without being connected to a computer. They will have about 20 choices of moving objects to build such as a racing car, helicopter crane, or milo.

FLL LEGO Dance and Parade

Make a robot dance using an EV3 robot you create and program using LEGO Mindstorms software. Decorate and parade the robot around the FIRST Robotics Center.

FLL LEGO Mission To Space

Students have simple missions on a Mars Landscape to accomplish using an EV3 robot that they build and program with LEGO Mindstorms software.

Students have advanced missions on a Mars Landscape to accomplish using an EV3 robot to play a Sumo pushing game. Students program with LEGO Mindstorms software.

FLL LEGO EV3 Humanoid Build and Program

June 18 - 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Make a robot that walks and moves like a human using the EV3 base kit, infrared sensor and remote control. Program it to shoot balls, move and walk around the room.

LEGO Build Day and STEM Exploration

LEGO Build - Using their creativity, students will participate with others to build their vision of one of several scenarios. They will make use of LEGOS to show how teamwork can bring their vision to reality. They’ll envision it, build it and demonstrate it!

STEM Exploration - This class will allow students to interact with high school level FIRST Robotic team students. The robotic team students will provide STEM centered lessons, activities and demonstrations. This is the chance for the little guys and gals to be inspired by the big guys and gals!
