FIRST LEGO One-Day Camps

All day camps are held at the Kettering University FIRST Robotic Community Center. Need-based scholarships are available and may be applied if student qualifies for free/reduced school lunches. Each student receives a T-shirt. 

Drop Off is no more than 15 minutes before class starts. Pick Up is no more than 15 minutes after class ends. Bring a lunch, unless otherwise noted. 

We Do Mechanical Objects 1.2

June 21, 10 a.m - 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Build a soccer ball kicker or a goalie. There are 13 other mechanisms students can build that move with motors, gears, pulleys and sensors.

We Do Mechanical Objects 2.0

July 13, 9 a.m - 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

The new We Do 2.0 uses a Bluetooth transmitter to allow students to build an object to move without being connected to a computer. Students have many choices of moving objects to build a race car, helicopter, crane or milo.

LEGO Dance and Parade

June 19, 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Make a robot dance using an EV3 robot you create and program using LEGO Mindstorms software. Decorate and parade the robot around the FIRST Robotics Center.

LEGO Mission To Space - Advanced

June 27 or July 20 - 9:30 a.m - 3:30 p.m.

Students have advanced missions on a Mars Landscape to accomplish using an EV3 robot to play a Sumo pushing game. Students program with LEGO Mindstorms software.
