Kettering University is one of the top universities to attend for entrepreneurial studies, according to The Princeton Review®.

Kettering landed on the publication’s 17th annual ranking of the Top Undergraduate Schools for Entrepreneurship Studies. Only 50 U.S. schools earned a spot on the prestigious list, which The Princeton Review based on a summer 2022 survey of administrators of nearly 300 undergraduate and graduate schools that offer entrepreneurship studies. This is the third consecutive year Kettering has made the list.

Dr. Haseeb Ahmed, Interim Dean of the School of Management, credits the recognition to the University’s business partnerships and extracurricular activities.

“Our international entrepreneurship initiatives in Central Asia, our strong co-curricular activities featuring prominent entrepreneurs—such as the Business Speaker Series and Entrepreneur-in-Residence programs—and the Michigan Small Business Development Center (SBDC) I-69 Trade Corridor Region’s contributions to maintaining a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem, all led to significant improvement in program quality,” Ahmed said. “The stellar performance by the Kettering Collegiate DECA team in the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) competition, which includes various entrepreneurship categories, also demonstrated the quality of our program to our peers.”

The Princeton Review compiled the list using more than 40 data points in the following categories: academic and requirements; students and faculty; alumni entrepreneurship ventures; outside the classroom; competitions hosted by the school/program; and scholarships and aid. Data points include course options, enrollment in those courses, the number of companies started by graduates in the last five years and types of financial aid available for entrepreneurship studies.

The School of Management offers undergraduate degrees in Business Management with concentrations in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Supply Chain Management, Sustainability Management, Technology Leadership and Business Analytics. Graduate degrees are available in Operations Management, Engineering Management, Supply Chain Management, Tech Business Administration and Business Administration. Certificates are also available in Technology Leadership, Data Analytics, Operations Management, Supply Chain and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Lean Product and Process Development, Global Leadership, Management and Leadership, and Lean Principles in Healthcare. In addition, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Business minor programs are available.

The list is featured on The Princeton Review’s website and will appear in the December issue of Entrepreneur magazine.
