On average, Kettering University graduates see a 20-year return on investment of $743,000, according to new data released by PayScale.com.
PayScale’s 2017 ‘College ROI Report: Best Value Colleges’ ranks Kettering 19th in the country in Return on Investment and first in Michigan and first in the Midwest.

Recently, a survey of students conducted for The Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings ranked Kettering University first in the Midwest for career preparation. Also, according to The Wall Street Journal, 10 years after graduation, Kettering graduates earn an average of $76,100 which ranks first among all colleges and universities in Michigan.

- 13th nationally among non-Ph.D.-granting engineering programs and 7th among Mechanical Engineering programs according to the 2017 U.S. News and World Report ‘Best Colleges’ edition.
- A 2017 ‘Best in the Midwest designation by the Princeton Review.
- Fourth in the Midwest in Earnings Performance, according to the Washington Monthly.
- 59th nationally in The Economist’s 2015 College Rankings.
- Programs had the following rankings in the U.S. Department of Education's College Scorecard (based on percent earning above high school graduates):
-Second nationally and first in Michigan among four-year engineering programs;
-Fourth nationally and first in Michigan among four-year computer science programs;
-Fourth nationally and first in Michigan among four-year biological science programs;
-Fourth nationally and first in Michigan among four-year physical science programs;
-Third nationally and first in Michigan among four-year mathematics programs;
-Fourth nationally and first in Michigan among four-year business programs.
