I’m excited to champion an institution whose mission has such incredible relevance in the world today.”

Kettering University has named Susan Sloan the new Director of Admissions in the Marketing, Communications and Enrollment department on campus.

Sloan comes to Kettering with more than 25 years of experience in higher education. Most recently she served as the director of admissions and financial aid at Wells College in Aurora, New York.

“The University’s educational model with an emphasis on STEM areas and cooperative experiences is unique and one I find incredibly relevant in the landscape of higher education today,” Sloan said. “Kettering is extremely well-positioned to compete in the higher education marketplace now and in the future.”

In her previous roles, Sloan has championed the use of analytics, predictive modeling, market analysis and social media to engage and recruit prospective students and their families. At Wells College, she was a leader both in her department and on campus as she served on multiple campus committees related to strategic planning and diversity initiatives.

“Susan is a proven leader in higher education,” said Kip Darcy, Vice President for Marketing, Communications and Enrollment. “Her ability to develop individual relationships is a huge asset for students and their families. Susan is going help ensure the next generation of students connect with Kettering in an authentic and intentional manner."

Sloan is also a member of the National Association of College Admissions Counselors and The College Board. She moved to the Flint-area from upstate New York.

“I’m excited to champion an institution whose mission has such incredible relevance in the world today,” Sloan said.
