These rankings are another strong endorsement of the power of Kettering’s unique experiential and co-op-based education model.”

CNN Money looked at the top 10 private colleges in the country using PayScale.com's Return on Investment rankings, with Kettering coming in 10th among private universities.

"Students at Kettering are required to complete several co-op terms as part of their education, alternating between on-the-job experience and classes on campus. The last two terms are spent on a thesis project that is decided on by the student and employer. They're giving them a ton of opportunity to get hands-on training, then they're sending them out into the world with the skills employers are looking for," the CNN Money article states.

The CNN Money article was based on to the annual College ROI Report by PayScale.com, which was released March 5. Kettering was 12th overall in the country and was the top university in Michigan and the Midwest for ROI.

Kettering's ranking of 12th nationally is up from 41st nationally last year. PayScale measures Return on Investment by evaluating factors like cost of attendance and earning potential of graduates to determine its rankings.

“These rankings are another strong endorsement of the power of Kettering’s unique experiential and co-op-based education model,” said Kettering University President Dr. Robert McMahan. “The way Kettering combines theory in the classroom with practice both in the lab and in extensive co-op experiences with the world’s leading companies allows our graduates to quickly succeed, advance, and grow into strong contributors and leaders in their chosen fields. We have a long and proven history of educating and preparing successful and influential leaders across a wide range of industries, and the Return on Investment Report is yet another positive affirmation of the power and value of a Kettering education.”

Kettering's latest ROI rankings were also covered by MLive.com, WNEM TV 5 News and NBC 25 News.
