Robotics Scholarships

Up to $5,000 per year, renewable

Criteria

These competitive awards are made to students who are active competitors or mentors of FIRST, VEX, OCCRA, Drones or other competitive robotics organizations. The awards, each worth up to $5,000 per year, are renewable. This scholarship application typically opens in September and closes April 1.

To apply, accepted students can go to the scholarship tab in the Student Portal.

Requirements for consideration: 

  • Apply and be academically admitted to Kettering University
  • Two letters of recommendation - at least one from a mentor (no family members, please). Names, phone numbers and email addresses of references must be included for verification purposes. 
  • Submit an essay (500-1000 words), and include your team name and number, if applicable. Be sure to tell us how long you’ve been involved in robotics, what roles you’ve had on your team, your leadership experience, any mentoring you have done and any particular achievements or commendations you have earned. Also, highlight how participating in robotics has influenced your academic pursuits and/or career path.

Beyond Robotics

We offer more than just Robotics scholarships. We have scholarships for students who take competition to a higher level. Scholarships are available in esports, coding, mobility and students who achieve excellence outside of the classroom.
