Dr. Cleamon Moorer, Jr. '99

Dr. Cleamon Moorer Jr. is the Co-founder and President of Partners in Wellness Management
LLC.; President and Chief Executive Officer of American Advantage Home Care (AAHC) Inc.; host
of the award-winning podcast Home Health Care Today Show; and Founding Executive Director
of Eye Care for Detroit Inc.

AAHC is a Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services–Certified and Joint Commission–
accredited agency that provides skilled in-home care to hundreds of patients. Michigan
Celebrates Small Business ranks AAHC as one of the Top 50 Businesses to Watch in 2022. AAHC
also is a Comcast RISE award recipient. Cleamon strategically worked to drive the growth of
AAHC by more than 1,000% in an 18-month period.

The Home Health Care Today Show is designed to inform, educate and inspire the home health-
care community of Metro Detroit and beyond. The HealthCare Advertising Association and the
Service Industry Award Association gave its Gold Awards in 2021 and 2022.

Cleamon also is an author of several peer-reviewed journal articles, and is a contributor to the
Forbes Business Council and Entrepreneur Magazine’s Leadership Network. His memoir, “From
Failure to Promise: 360 Degrees,” was No. 1 on Amazon in the genre of Educator’s Biographies
on multiple occasions.

Experienced as an administrator, engineer, consultant, educator and civic leader, Cleamon was
a business school dean at Madonna University and Baker College, and a professor at multiple
universities, including Kettering University. He was responsible for leading Madonna
University’s business school to initial and reaffirmation of Baker College’s business programs
accreditation. Under Cleamon’s leadership, business school graduates ranked the best in the
nation on the standardized Educational Testing Service (ETS) field exam.

He has been recognized locally and nationally for outstanding leadership and contributions. In
2011, Cleamon was first recognized by the Kettering/GMI Alumni Association (KGMIAA) for
Civic Excellence then named a Rising Star by Benedictine University’s Alumni Association (2014).
Black Enterprise Magazine named him a Modern Man of Distinction in 2017, and the
magazine’s editorial board gave him the title Mr. Higher Learning. In 2022, CORP! Magazine
named him a Most Valuable Professional as an entrepreneur.

Cleamon sits on the boards of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flint and Genesee County; CVF Credit
Union; Habitat for Humanity - Detroit; and the Michigan Home Care and Hospice Association.

He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Kettering University,
double Master’s degrees from Benedictine University, a Ph.D. in Business Administration from
Argosy University and a certificate in Business Excellence for Health Professionals from Cornell
University. He also is pursuing an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing at Henry Ford College
en route to receiving a registered nursing license.
