Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering

Dr. Yifu Li is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Kettering University in Flint, Michigan. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada (2022) and another PhD in Environmental Science and Engineering from Chongqing University, China (2019). Dr. Li’s research centers on Decarbonization for Sustainable Energy Systems, focusing on electrochemical energy storage, and carbon capture/utilization. His works have been published in leading journals in his field, such as Energy, Applied Energy, Energy Conversion and Management, and Applied Catalysis B: Environment and Energy. Dr. Li also serves as an Assistant Editor for the journal Gas Science and Engineering.
