Why Study Quality Engineering at Kettering University
The Quality Engineering Minor will provide students with a strong foundation in statistical thinking, data analysis, process improvement, and quality management methods that are valuable across virtually every industry. Through coursework in calculus, probability and statistics, engineering data analytics, and quality control, and Lean Six Sigma, students will develop the analytical and problem-solving skills needed to improve products, processes, and systems. The minor is designed to prepare students for quality engineering roles and to give them the knowledge needed to pursue professional credentials such as Six Sigma Green Belt certification. By combining quantitative analysis with applied quality tools, this minor will help Kettering students strengthen their career readiness in manufacturing, healthcare, automotive, supply chain, technology, and other quality-driven fields.
