NVH and Digital Twin Laboratory (NVDT Lab)

The NVH and Digital Twin Laboratory (NVDT Lab) specializes in advanced research combining analytical and experimental methodologies for creating digital twins of mechanical, structural, acoustic, and biological systems. Our primary mission is to develop, implement, and refine cutting-edge measurement techniques and simulation procedures to enhance understanding, optimization, and prediction of system behaviors.

We actively engage in federally and industry-sponsored research projects and offer specialized consulting services to industrial partners.

Key Research Areas:

  • Digital Twin Technologies
  • Multiphysics Simulation and Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • Vehicle and Tire Dynamics
  • Modal Analysis and Sound and Acoustic Analysis
  • Model Updating
  • Multibody Simulation
  • Structural Health Monitoring
  • Integrated Numerical and Experimental Approaches

The DTNV Lab supports faculty, graduate, and undergraduate students from various engineering disciplines, enabling them to perform innovative research and gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art equipment and methodologies.
