Karim Nasr

Professor of the Practice, Mechanical Engineering

Dr. Nasr is known for being a Subject Matter Expert on Quality Assurance, accreditation, HE strategic planning, Problem-Based Learning, assessment and evaluation of educational programs, and Continuous Improvement. The fruits of his technical and pedagogical research have appeared in internationally recognized and refereed journals and conference proceedings. Prof. Nasr is a recipient of SAE’s Ralph Teetor Educational Award (1998), Kettering University’s Outstanding Teacher Award (2000), Outstanding Applied Researcher Award (2000), CETL’s Best Poster Award as Educational Research (2002), and TRW/CETL Educational Scholar Award (2003). He held memberships in SAE, ASEE, ASME, ASHRAE, and the World Energy Council.

Most recently, Dr. Nasr served as an International Program Evaluator for the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation (NCAAA) in Saudi Arabia and is an active member of ASME’s CEA (Committee of Engineering Accreditation).
