Professor of Mechanical Engineering

Dr. Peters' disciplinary work focuses on simulation and controls, particularly as applied to autonomous vehicles. In this capacity, she also advises the Kettering University AutoDrive team. Peters conducts engineering education research, with a focus on the interaction between industry and academia, specifically in the context of returning graduate students in engineering - those who work in industry after their bachelor's degree and prior to starting their graduate degree.

I'm surrounded by smart, talented, passionate people. Not only my colleagues, who are experts in their areas, but also our students, who are intelligent, creative, and in the process of becoming incredible young professionals in their fields.
 

I enjoy a lot of crafts. This ranges from woodworking - primarily scroll saw work - to sewing, and in particular, I make quilts.
