Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering

Dr. Chinwe Tait received her B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a minor in Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences. After that, she obtained her M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University and worked for Charles Stark Draper Laboratory on NASA's Constellation Program. At the end of the Program, Tait returned to Michigan State University and received her Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on nano-devices. Prior to joining Kettering University in 2021, she worked as an Engineer at both ZF TRW and IEE Sensing, specializing in automotive sensors at both companies. Her research interests include electronic devices, micro/nano sensors and actuators, mechatronics, semiconductor physics, and NEMS/MEMS technologies.
