Prep for Success programs are designed for accepted students to make the most of their Kettering University education. 

You will have an opportunity to:

  • Visit with your co-op manager about our co-op education and experiential learning program.
  • Topics will be covered including: Interviewing Secrets, Resume Writing Tips and Preparing for the Employment Fair.
  • Meet some of your future classmates and hear how companies value Kettering students.
  • Visit with faculty and company representatives.

Financial Aid Consultations
You may schedule a personal consultation at the time you register. Appointments are limited and you must complete your FAFSA at least one week prior to your event date.

Travel Assistance
We recognize the distance some of you travel to attend Prep for Success. We are offering our 2019 accepted students travel grants (one grant per student) to help offset the cost of attending our Prep for Success program.  If you would like to be considered for a travel grant please contact us at (810) 762-7865.

Make it a full day! Discover our labs, classrooms, faculty, staff and students. See our recreation center and visit our residence hall. There is so much for you to do and see!

9 – 10:15 a.m. Check-in, Registration and Kettering Expo 

  • All of our academic departments in one place; ask the faculty and students about our majors, minors, concentrations and specialties.
  • Current students are on hand to talk about organizations and clubs they belong to and what they do for fun.
  • Other departments are available including Admissions, Cooperative Education, Financial Aid, Office of Multicultural Student Initiatives, Academic Success Center and Student Life.

9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Be Among The First to Ride on Kettering University's GM Mobility Research Center Track!

Your opportunity to tour Kettering University’s GM Mobility Research Center (MRC), an outdoor autonomous vehicle proving ground and lab. The facility is the only one of its kind on a college campus in the country. The MRC is one of several unique spaces that Kettering students have access to. 

10:15 – 10:25 a.m. Welcome to Kettering University

10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Brunch and Guided Tours of Kettering's Residence Hall 

Sunrise Café, 2nd Floor, Campus Center

11 a.m. – 1 p.m.  C-Store

Visit the C-Store to purchase Kettering University gear for you and your family.

10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Kettering's Academic Buildings Are Open 

Visit with our faculty, staff and students as you tour our laboratories and classrooms.  This is a great opportunity to learn more about our academic programs, co-op and student life.  The Kettering community is looking forward to visiting with you!

Academic Building tour includes:

Applied Biology, Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, Management, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Industrial Engineering, Liberal Studies Program, Humanities Art Center and the Library.

C.S. Mott Engineering & Science Center tour includes:

Mechanical Engineering, Biochemistry, and Chemistry, which includes the Pre-med Course of Study.
