The Value of Your Education

Your education is one of the most important investments you will ever make. It pays back many times throughout your career. Kettering University offers you a return on investment that sets the path for a successful future.

Kettering students start their cooperative education journey by gaining employment at one of our three yearly employment fairs.

What's the Cost?

Kettering University was one of the country’s first private universities to commit to a fixed-rate tuition guarantee.  Fixed-rate tuition means you’ll pay the same for your last senior seminar as you do for your first freshman lecture. That’s just the first in a substantial list of “smart money” considerations that make Kettering an exceptional value.

Plus as early as your first year, you will alternate between terms of on-campus study and full-time paid co-op work terms. That means a regular paycheck while you are still in school.

Net Price Calculator

Kettering University’s Net Price Calculator is designed to provide you with an estimate of your financial aid options – including merit awards.

Please keep in mind:

  • This calculator is intended for U.S. citizens or U.S. “permanent residents” who will enter Kettering University as a first-time, full-time undergraduate student.
  • This calculator is for estimates only and actual award packages will vary depending on time of year, regulatory changes, and availability of funds.
  • Net price estimates are based on the cost of attendance and financial aid provided to students in 2017-2018.

Need-Based Grants

To be considered for any need-based aid, federal loans, and/or work study programs, you are required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). All families are encouraged to file FAFSA to take advantage of the University's need-based aid and state and federal gift aid. You should consider filing the FAFSA, even if you think you may not qualify.

Here are important reminders:

  • Include Kettering University's school code 002262 on your application
  • Nearly 99% of the entering class received financial aid or scholarships

Financial Aid Basics

There's no better way to invest in your future than through education.

While students and their families shoulder the primary responsibility for financing an education, we understand that many students need assistance. Support comes in a variety of forms:

  • scholarships
  • loans
  • work-study

The Financial Aid team is dedicated to assisting you in searching for the resources needed to attend Kettering, whether that comes in the form of grants, loans, work study or scholarships or a combination of all of the above. Use the Kettering Net Price Calculator above to estimate your costs.
