FIRST One-Day Programs

All day camps are held at the Kettering University FIRST Robotic Community Center. Need-based scholarships are available and may be applied if student qualifies for free/reduced school lunches. Each student receives a T-shirt. 

Drop Off is no more than 15 minutes before class starts. Pick Up is no more than 15 minutes after class ends. Bring a lunch, unless otherwise noted. 

FTC JAVA Programming I

June 26, 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Register >

Program a pre-constructed FTC Robot and make it move with phones, and JAVA Programming. If time permits write an Autonomous program using time based code. No experience is expected.

FTC JAVA Programming II

June 19, 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Register >

Program a pre-constructed FTC Robot to move with phones and JAVA Programming. Write Autonomous program using sensors such as limit switches, encoders, light sensors. Some experience is expected.

Program Fee: $80

FRC Beginning/Intermediate Machine Certification

June 23, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Register >

Learn how to properly use the following with a robot-related project: tape measure, marker, caliper, square, hacksaw, metal benders, drill, drill press, grinders, band saw, Dremel, and cold saw. Includes material and take home project.

Program Fee: $80

Grades: 9-12


FRC Intermediate/Advanced Machine Certification

June 25, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Register >

This is an Intermediate/Advanced class.
