Computer Engineering I

Understand how consumer electronics, automobiles and robots are made smart by using microcontrollers embedded in these products. Design, build and program!

Participants in the Computer Engineering summer camp learn about teamwork while building robots together.

July 22-26, 9 a.m - 4 p.m.

Register - Residential  >

This camp exposes students to the field of computer engineering by using technology that is currently being used for developing intelligent systems. They learn how consumer electronics, automobiles and robots are made smart by using microcontrollers embedded in these products. Students design, build and program entry-level microcontroller-based applications, such as robots, and learn how to wire sensors to the processor and implement programs to make their robot intelligent. Students also write Android apps for remotely controlling their robot. Participants receive a microcontroller kit to keep.

Program Fee: Residential $750 (includes 5 nights of room and board, t-shirt, single board computer kit), Day camp $450 (includes lunch, t-shirt, single board computer kit).

Need-based scholarships available.

Grades: 9-12 (must have completed 8th grade by June 30, 2019)

Additional Details: Participants must have daily transportation to and from Kettering University. Camp size is limited to the first 20 registered students.
