A second chance to life

By Website Administrator | Aug 11, 2005

Kettering Community and local residents provide bone marrow contributions.

Kettering hosted a bone marrow drive in BJ's Lounge Aug. 10. About 200 Kettering faculty, staff and students, as well as local residents, provided important contributions during the drive, which could save the lives of people throughout the country. When individuals become a donor through the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP), they contribute to an effort to give patients with leukemia and other life-threatening blood diseases a second chance at life.
