Kettering University’s FIRST Robotics Team helps local Sheriff’s Department fix robots

Kettering University's Metal Muscle FIRST Robotics Team 1506 is working with the Genesee County Sheriff's Department to help them get a couple robots up and working.

The Sheriff's Department received two SUGVs (Small Unmanned Ground Vehicles) from the U.S. Army but they weren't working properly. So the Kettering Metal Muscle team helped get them moving and will continue to work to make them more efficient. The robots will allow the Sheriff's Department to see what is happening during an emergency situation through the cameras on the robots.
