Kettering students win at Legomania (again)

Kettering students took the top prize in the fourth annual "Legomania" Lego competition at the Flint Institute of Arts Saturday, Feb. 22. More than a thousand Lego enthusiasts joined in the event to see Kettering win for the third year in a row.

Having won the two previous years for sculptures of famous paintings such as “The Scream” and “The Starry Night,” Kettering won with a sculpture of The London Bridge falling down.

The Flint Institute of Arts launched the competition four years ago to bring students from Flint’s four colleges into one neutral space to interact and participate in a friendly “college town” competition. Each team has four hours to design, plan and bring their masterpiece to life using 16,700 Legos.

The Flint Institute of Arts provides people’s choice online voting for ten days.
