Area students -- from elementary through high school -- who are seeking help with math, science and reading are invited to come to Kettering University during an eight-week, tutoring program that is free to participants. Kettering's Student Affairs Department is offering the tutoring program for students in the community.

Tutoring is available from 6-7:30 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday from Oct. 22 through Dec. 12. Tutoring is conducted in the Campus Center, on the first floor in BJs Lounge. Kettering is located on the corner of Third and Chevrolet avenues in Flint. There will be no tutoring on Halloween, Thursday, Oct. 31, and Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 28.

Participants younger than the eighth grade must be supervised by a parent. Participants are asked to bring books, pencils and papers. Students preparing for statewide proficiency tests are welcome.
