Dean of the College of Engineering Dr. Scott E. Grasman has named Dr. Farnaz Ghazi Nezami as the Interim Department Head of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering.
Ghazi Nezami joined Kettering in 2014 and teaches a variety of courses in industrial engineering. She previously was a faculty member at Wichita State University and has several years of working experience in the automotive industry and service sector.
She earned her Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering with a minor in Manufacturing from Wichita State University. Her research interest includes applied optimization, supply chain and operations management, and statistical data analysis. Ghazi Nezami has authored/co-authored more than 50 research works, including journal and conference publications and presentations. She also is an active member of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) and the Institue of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE), and leads several committees in these societies.
