More than 300 prospective students checked out the campus Nov. 4 during Discover Kettering
Kettering University's state-of-the-art lab facilities were the stars of the day when more than 300 prospective students and their families toured campus on Saturday, Nov. 4. The annual autumn open house, called Discover Kettering, gave current high school students a chance to meet with Kettering faculty and students, tour campus facilities and find out more about Kettering's professional co-op education.
A number of faculty members attended the Academic Expo, where students got to ask faculty about the various academic programs and majors. Students also met with admissions, co-op and financial aid representatives to find out what it takes to be a Kettering student and get first-hand information about co-op jobs. A panel of current Kettering students told stories about their class and job experiences. Campus tours helped the visitors get an inside look at classrooms, laboratories, the residence hall and the recreation center. A special session offered information for transfer students.
The next Discover Kettering open house will be in August 2007.
