Hundreds of prospective students will visit campus on Aug. 7, when Kettering University hosts the 2004 Discover Kettering Open House. From 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., prospective students and their families can explore Kettering's state-of-the-art laboratories, tour campus facilities and speak with current students and professors.

A large number of students, faculty and staff typically volunteer for the annual event. Program Coordinator Shari Luck said, "It is exciting to see the entire Kettering community come together to showcase the great opportunities we have to offer."

Events include a College Expo, featuring academic departments and faculty in a college fair setting, and tours of academic buildings, Thompson Residence Hall, and the Connie and Jim John Recreation Center. There is also a student panel, where prospective students and their families can ask about the university, the co-op experience and campus life. Information sessions about admissions, financial aid, and cooperative education will also be available.

Discover Kettering is free and open to the public.
