What is the one trait you want people to know you for?

The most pertinent trait for Vice President of Student Government that I have is my ability to lead. I care not only about accomplishing goals, but also about the degree in which they are accomplished. I am always willing to put forward the extra effort in order to ensure that things are done correctly and to the best of my abilities.

What is your favorite quote/saying(s)?

“You’re either green and growing or ripe and rotting.” –Anonymous

What do you think can be improved at Kettering and what steps will you take to accomplish this improvement?

I think that in the past few years Kettering has made some drastic improvements that have made the quality of life here much better. If I were to single one thing to be improved upon I feel that it would be the communication with the students. As it is now Kettering is making changes every day, however most students never hear about these changes. Hanging up flyers and sending out the occasional blast email does not accomplish much since the average student just ignores them. I aim to make Kettering University more transparent to the student body so that we are able to know everything that is happening and voice our opinion on each topic.

What has been your biggest success and failure? What have you learned from them?

My biggest success at this point in my life is my GPA and current class standing. This has shown me that through hard work and dedication I can accomplish any goal, no matter how impossible it may seem. One of my largest failures would be losing in Football in the regional round of playoffs my senior year. Even though this isn’t necessarily recent it, reflecting upon it has shown me a lot. My largest take away from this experience was that no matter how well you may think you are prepared, there will always be room for improvement in someplace. Never settle for mediocrity, but continually strive for excellence.

What is your motivation for wanting to represent the student body via Student Senate?

Ever since I came to Kettering I knew that I wanted to be as involved as possible while still taking a position that would help me to be a leader on Campus. As a member of senate for the past two years I have learned that it is the best place for me to demonstrate my ability to lead and voice my opinion. I enjoy being able to be the voice of my class while at the same time being the voice of the entire student body.
