To the Faculty from President McMahan -

As a valued member of our faculty, you play a key role in our ability to make real the words that we all used when we as a community authored and affirmed our mission, vision, and values statements last year.  We have many visual reminders of these - which taken together we call True Kettering - around campus.  However, it is only when we live them as a community that we make the Kettering spirit real.

Last December, Provost Simpson invited you to attend a special set of faculty conversations and interactive professional development opportunities that we call True Kettering: Building a Culture of Excellence.

As of this week only about a third of our faculty have signed up to participate in these discussions. For those who are already planning to attend, thank you for your engagement. For those who have not yet confirmed your participation, I encourage you to do so to add your voice and perspective to the discussion - and in this, you are not alone; our staff and most Department Heads completed a similar program to strong positive reviews in October of last year.

Your participation is important.  We know you are very busy,  and that you have many demands on your time during the semester. To make it as convenient as possible for you to attend these discussions,  we have broken them into three independently scheduled parts scheduled over three days. Feel free to pick and choose among them to create a personalized A-B-C sequence most convenient for you.
