Kettering/GMI Alumni Association (KGMIAA) is proud to sponsor eight (8) FIRST Robotics teams for the 2019 season. Each team sponsored receives $1,000 toward the building of this season's robot.

2018 Sponsorships

FIRST Robotics team compete during the 2018 Kettering University regional competition.

The Alumni Association sponsored the following teams last year:

  • 449 - The Blair Robot Project; Silver Spring, Maryland - Received Innovation in Controls Award at Districts
  • 868 - Tech Hounds; Carmel Indiana - Winners of Archimedes Division at Detroit Championship
  • 3061 - Huskie Robotics; Naperville, Illinois - Received Gracious Professionalism and Innovation in Controls Awards at Regionals
  • 4085 - Technical Difficulties; Reynoldsburg, Ohio
  • 5577 - Kinematic Wolves; Detroit, Michigan
  • 6314 - Wolfpack; Scottsdale, Arizona - Qualified for Houston Championship

"First Robotics mentors - all volunteers - consist of a large number of Kettering / GMI alumni. In recognition of this fact, the Kettering GMI Alumni Association began in 2018 to sponsor FRC teams. In 2019, KGMIAA is expanding our sponsorships in support of this effort supported strongly by our Alums."
