Stock sees Kettering students as fun, bright, and mature. She feels that Kettering students are distinguished from other university students because of the closer relationship that exists between the students and faculty as a result of being a small university with smaller class sizes. She sees them as much more supportive of one another and connected with their professors on a deeper personal level. Stock's favorite part of teaching at Kettering is the satisfaction of knowing that she contributes to the molding and shaping of the lives of her students. She was originally drawn to teaching at Kettering because it allows her to balance her professional life with her role as a parent.
Stock would tell prospective students to, "Review your pre-calculus/trigonometry before you start your first academic term. Take advantage of all the opportunities at the school and at your co-op job. Get involved in community service, intramurals, Greek life, clubs, student government, etc. Kettering is more than just academics. It's about shaping future leaders and CEOs."
Stock is married to Jack Stock, Director of External Affairs at Kettering. Together they have six children. She is also academic adviser to Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.
Hidden talents and outside interests: Stock enjoys music, playing guitar, boating, downhill skiing, international travel, sports and activities with her family.
