Mr. Allan Taylor, Lecturer of Electrical Engineering

Allan Taylor was born in Flint, MI and attended Kettering University as an undergraduate and graduate student, receiving his B.S. and M.S. degrees (with honors) in Electrical Engineering in 2009 and 2011, respectively. Following his Master's, Mr. Taylor worked as a research engineer in Kettering's Advanced Power Electronics Lab, under Dr. Kevin Bai, from 2011 to 2014. Presently, Mr. Taylor is a lecturer of Electrical Engineering at Kettering University, and is pursuing his Ph.D degree at Michigan State University under Dr. Fang Z. Peng in the Power Electronics and Motor Drives Laboratory.
His research interests are in developing new and improved control strategies for AC/DC and DC/AC power electronics systems for use in electric vehicle charging systems, smart-grid applications, and renewable energy systems as well as using emerging semiconductor technologies to develop state-of-the-art power electronics systems with high efficiency and high power-density.
