Community E-Waste Collection

Electronic equipment waste such as computers, televisions, stereos, cell phones, etc., will be accepted for recycling April 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and April 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the William S. White Parking Lot at the University of Michigan Flint. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to unload your materials.

MMA Club

Martial Arts Club starts on Monday of week #2. The club meets in the Aerobics room of the Recreation Center on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 - 7:30 PM. No prior martial arts experience is required. Dr. Richard Stanley is the instructor, who has over 30 years of martial arts experience...No uniform is required; please dress in comfortable clothes (sweats and a T-shirt is fine)...

Great Reads Book Club -- Save the Date!

The Good Reads Book Club selection for the Spring Term is the memoir "Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail" by Cheryl Strayed. The recent movie garnered actress Reese Witherspoon an Academy Award nomination for her portrayal of Strayed.

Bring your lunch and thoughts about the book to the Library on 9th Week Thursday (June 4) at 12:30 p.m.

There are copies available for check out in the Library.

Faculty/Staff FUNd Drive Kick-Off Celebration

Come to the Great Court and celebrate the kick-off of our 2015 Faculty/Staff FUNd Drive! Enjoy cookies, punch, and music provided by WKUF.

The FUNd Drive begins on Tuesday, April 7 and concludes on Tuesday, April 28. You are welcome to make your gift at the kick-off or simply talk to your colleagues about different areas of the University you might consider supporting. Every gift makes a difference! Earth Day Celebration

Kettering is co-sponsoring the largest Earth Day Celebration in Genesee County. It will be held at U of M Flint's University Center on Saturday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This year's theme "Healthy People, Health Planet" features Dr. Partha Nandi, M.D., F.A.C.P of Ask Dr. Nandi as a keynote speaker. Other highlights include Earth Day vendors, live music, live animal exhibit, healthy cooking demos, and a recycled art contest.
