At an award breakfast recently at The Community House in Birmingham, Michigan, Dr. Jacqueline El-Sayed (Mechanical Engineering) was honored by the Diversity and Race Relations Task Force of Oakland County as a "Diversity Champion". Bloomfield Hills Schools nominated her and she has served on their Board of Education for more than two years. Selection criteria for the award are:

  • Envision new ways of inclusion

  • Be a doer whose actions speak of respect for others
