Kettering University offers students many opportunities to get involved in student government, the performing arts, professional societies, and other clubs and organizations on campus.

Aerospace Club

This club provides a place for people to discuss and participate in activities involving all forms of aircraft and rocketry.

ALLIES

A support group for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and questioning students and their friends. LGBTQ staff and others on campus are always invited to attend events and meetings. ALLIES is about support, help, friendship, caring and of most value, knowing someone to turn to.

Airsoft Club

Compete against other teams using airsoft firearms in a safe environment.

Anime Club

Join your fellow students as they watch Japanese animation.

Aquaneers

Aquaneers is a scuba diving club. They have meetings throughout the term and events such as their spring dive charter. The club also has pool time in the Recreation Center where participants brush up on their scuba skills when it's too cold outside.

Asian American Association

Black Unity Congress (BUC)

BUC organizes activities to unify, stimulate and educate students about African-American awareness and other events. Watch Video

Blacksmith Club

The club is dedicated to metal working from the forge, chainmail production and more. Watch Video

Campus Crusade for Christ

An interdenominational group that offers students a chance to grow and mature as Christians through a variety of campus activities.

Chemical Engineering (CHME) Club

This club focuses on the attributes of Chemical Engineering.

Cliffhangers/Rock Climbing

The objective of this club is to provide students an opportunity to rock climb at an off-campus facility.

Cornhole Club

This club is dedicated to the game of Cornhole.

 

 

Dance Club

Learn how to swing dance or salsa. No experience or partner is required.

DECA

This organization prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. Watch Video

Disc Golf Club

A club for those who love the sport of Disc Golf.

Ethics Club

This club discusses and strives to understand ethical issues at Kettering and in the world.

Fencing Club

This club helps members to learn the art of fencing.

Firebirds

Automotive enthusiasts can participate in a wide range of activities as members of this club. The club concentrates on competitive events, shows, instruction, tools and facilities.

Formula SAE

Team members are responsible for designing and constructing all aspects of the car including frame, suspension, body, engine, drivetrain, electrical systems and plumbing. The team leader works with the faculty advisor to coordinate the progress of the team over the course of the design and fabrication stages.  Watch Video

Gaming Society

The Gaming Society holds various matches/tournaments each semester. They play Bridge, Euchre and other card games, role-playing games, board games, Battletech, StarCraft, WarCraft II and Magic as well as other games.

Golf Club

This club visits a driving range frequently and B-section hosts an alumni/student outing.

Green Engineering Organization (GEO)

The Green Engineering Organization is a club on campus dedicated to increasing environmental awareness and conscientious leadership among the students, staff and faculty of Kettering University, while implementing environmentally friendly practices on the campus and its surrounding area. Watch Video

Grilling Club

This club enjoys grilling many different types of food as a means of building community within the University.

Gay Straight Alliance

A support group for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and questioning students and their friends. LGBTQ staff and others on campus are always invited to attend events and meetings. Watch Video

Habitat for Humanity

This B-Section group is a campus chapter of the Genesee County's Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit organization that builds and improves affordable homes. Watch Video

 A club for those who want to learn and practice juggling.

Kettering Entrepreneur Society

Kettering Entrepreneur Society promotes an entrepreneurial culture at Kettering University based on innovation and social values. The Society offers its membership networking, mentoring and opportunity for developing an entrepreneurial mindset.

Kettering Student Government (KSG)

An organization that works every day to help mentor and guide the community leaders of tomorrow. Their premier mentorship program, leadership training initiatives and on campus presentations are just some of the ways they give back to the Kettering community.

Model United Nations

The team attends conferences at Harvard University and in Chicago where they represent a country at simulations of the United Nations. As a member, you can learn about international issues, negotiation skills, public speaking and foreign policy.

Mud Boggers/Off-Road Club

An off-road enthusiasts club promoting responsible four-wheeling and participation in trips to various off-road venues.

National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)

NSBE’s mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community. Watch Video

Open Source Club

The club informs students of open source software available and provides user support.

Performing Arts

Kettering University, the Flint Institute of Arts and Flint Institute of Music have partnered to provide Kettering students with professional fine arts programs. These programs are free to students. Students may participate in:

The purpose of this club is to assist students in developing their ability to play soccer through clinics, scrimmages and sport club matches.

Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)

SHPE is the leading social-technical organization whose primary function is to enhance and achieve the potential of its members in engineering, math and science. We fulfill our mission by increasing educational opportunities, promoting professional and personal growth and carrying out our social responsibility to be involved in education, business and government issues. SHPE is open to students of all backgrounds.

Society of Women Engineers

Kettering's Society of Women Engineers student chapter strives to promote and support women in engineering through programs and events that encourage professional development, foster interest in engineering among girls and link collegiate and professional women. Watch Video

SAE Baja

Kettering’s Baja team designs and builds an off-road vehicle from scratch in the SAE Garage on campus. The students design all the parts and make them by hand to get their vehicle ready for a four-hour endurance race. Watch Video

SAE Clean Snowmobile

The team starts with a stock snowmobile and retrofits the powertrain to make it more fuel-efficient, have lower emissions and make less noise while keeping it reliable and fun to drive. The Clean Snowmobile competition focuses on conducting high-quality research on methods to reduce snowmobile emissions and sound levels without sacrificing performance. Watch Video

The Trap & Skeet Club exists to promote the sport of competitive shooting.

Ultimate Frisbee

Bulldog Ultimate is always looking for new players and talented athletes. Practice and pick-up games are 2-3 times a week and committed players attend many tournaments around Michigan and the Great Lakes Region.

WKUF
