FIRST Robotics Fall Workshops

It's time to reboot your FRC Team and prepare students for the 2022 season! Join us for technical and team FRC workshops at Kettering.

Workshop Information

Saturday, October 2, 2021

9:45 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. in the FIRST Robotics Community Center at Kettering University

$10 per person

Note: Park in the lower lot off Dupont Street behind the Academic Building and enter through the double doors below the FIRST Robotics Center sign on the building.


9:45 a.m. - Registration

10-11 a.m. - Session 1 (Recruitment Strategies & Team Applications, Strategy Dictates Design and Scouting)

11:15 a.m. -12:15 p.m. - Session 2 (Rebooting Your FRC Team after 2020, FRC Electronics and On Shape CAD) 

12:15 -1 p.m. - Lunch (provided)

1-2 p.m. - Session 3 (Team Organization, Vision Tracking and Being Competitive with Commercial Off The Shelf Items) 

2:15-3:15 p.m. - Session 4 (Team Communication & Slack, Sensors: Why use them and what do they do? and Introduction to FRC Pneumatics 

3:30-4:30 p.m. - Session 5 (Sponsorship & Funding, Building a Scholarship Ready Team and CNC Router + Intro to Fusion 360) 

4:30-5:30 p.m. - Campus tour followed by pizza and free t-shirt (t-shirt for students only)

6 p.m. - Event ends
