Inspiring Students Interested In STEM

Our precollege programs include residential and nonresidential courses and camps that cover STEM-themed topics such as cybersecurity, rockets, autonomous programming, 3D printing, robotics, and more. Most of our programs run during the summer but we do offer some throughout the year. We typically have the schedule of summer programs ready in early January.

Virtual Math Olympiad Series

The Kettering University Math Olympiad Series is a competition designed to identify and encourage students with interests and abilities in mathematics. New this year, Game Night and a Industry Speaker! The series will consist of three dates and times, when you sign up you are asked to attend all three. The Math Olympiad Competition portion will be a synchronous proctored online exam. The exam is designed for students in grades 9-12, however, any middle school or high school student may sit for the exam.

The Math Olympiad Exam is limited to the first 220 registrants.


Friday, November 13, 6 - 8 p.m. - Day 1: Game Night with the Math Faculty, Friday, 
Saturday, November 14, Noon - 4 p.m. -  Day 2: Proctored Online Math Olympiad 
Monday, November 16, 6 - 7:30 p.m. - Day 3: Industry Speaker, Admissions info and Solution Session


When you sign up for the Math Olympiad you are signing up to participate in all three sessions.

  • We suggest students use the embedded web camera in their laptop or any standard web cam purchased and manufactured within the last 5 years
  • 3D Webcams are not supported at this time
  • Any web camera that only has drivers for Windows Vista or below will not work
Rules
  • Must be a US citizen or a Permanent Resident to take the test and qualify for a Kettering University Math Olympiad Scholarship
  • No Calculators
  • No Cellphones
  • No one is allowed in the room with you while you are taking the proctored online exam on Saturday, November 14, 2020
  • All scholarship recipients must apply to Kettering University and be accepted to Kettering University to use the scholarship
  • Scholarships must be used during the July or October Start Date at Kettering University the year you graduate from high school (e.g. you are are 2021 graduate, you would need to use the scholarship in July 2021 or October 2021 as an incoming student to Kettering University)
  • Scholarships are for undergraduate students only, there is no cash value, scholarships are non-transferable
