Registration, Course Withdrawal/Audit, and Refund Rate Information

Registration Information

Detailed registration information, including advising dates, registration dates (by class) and class schedules is available.

Note: Updated information for you next academic term will be posted 6th week Friday at noon.

Drop and Add

For online drop and add dates for the upcoming term see the Registrar's Office Announcements.

Students registering for courses must be registered during the drop/add period specified on the academic calendar. Students can register themselves via Banner Web Self Service for courses with available seats. For courses requiring an override, students must obtain approval from the department offering the course. Overrides are required for any course that is closed, or for which the student has not met pre-requisite, minimum class standing, major restriction, or other requirement listed for the course. If a student receives a “Repeat Exceeds 1” error, they must see an advisor in the Academic Success Center (ASC), Room 3-322-AB. Registration for courses after the drop/add period is not allowed.

Course Audits

Occasionally, a student may wish to attend a course without earning credit (for example, to refresh course knowledge). This arrangement is called “auditing” a course. Auditing courses are listed on the students’ official transcript with the grade AU (audit) and no credit earned.

To be registered as an “Audit” student, this completed form must be returned to the Office of the Registrar before the end of the drop/add period specified on the academic calendar.

Course Withdrawals

Courses dropped during the drop and add period will not appear on the student’s transcript. After the drop/add period, a withdrawal form must be completed and brought to the Registrar’s Office for processing. The course will appear on the student’s transcript as a “W” (withdrawal). Course Withdrawal forms are available online or in the Registrar’s Office and must be received in the Registrar’s Office for processing by the date specified on the academic calendar. Withdrawals after the date specified on the academic calendar are not allowed. Refund rates for course withdrawals are noted below.
