This CUE option is carried out at the student’s co-op employment. It is an individual project providing an opportunity for the senior student to apply academic and co-op experience to a realistic problem.

Students are advised by a faculty member and employer supervisor. The topic selected is submitted to Kettering for approval, specifically to the faculty advisor. Student’s who pursue the Co-op Thesis initially submit a PTA in KqUest for topic approval.

The student produces a tangible artifact including a comprehensive final written report. This is a two-term project and is normally undertaken in the last work term. In addition, participation in an annual Kettering poster session and/or presentation of the thesis is strongly encouraged.
