This service unit of the Science and Mathematics Department in the area of Applied Mathematics and Statistics, provides consulting activities every term and any time of the year. This is for students doing thesis research, and for faculty and staff at Kettering University. It is free.
 

STATISTICS CLINIC
 
Free consultations for all research students, thesis students, university faculty, and staff.

Preliminary contact, agreement, or appointment is necessary.

The Statistical Clinic provides consulting, and informal advice on statistical problems such as:

Data Analysis (Quality Control, Time Series, Survival Analysis, Multivariate Analysis, Population Modeling, Decision Analysis, Risk Assessment, Environmental modeling, Design of Experiments, and other Probability or Statistical issues)

Design of Experiments - plans, data manipulations, and studies

Sample Surveys: design and analysis

Statistical Simulations

Statistical Modeling and Analysis

Help in work with statistical packages MINITAB and EXCEL

Applied Mathematical Modeling (optimization problems, industrial applied mathematics, operations research, linear programming, combinatorial problems)

Conditions:

 
 You must be currently student at Kettering University and be enrolled for some academic research, related to thesis work, or to department research;

 
You must be Kettering faculty member, or staff at Kettering University;

Assistance with regular class course work is excluded;

Any additional consulting service outside the scope of this offer (longer consultation, computing, etc.) will be up for negotiation and possible contracts.}

Consulting service for patients outside Kettering University is available under following conditions:

First visit (up to 1.5 hours) is free;

Next visits are negotiable through the Office of Academic Programs & Research, (Phone 762 - 7996).
