Mission Statement

Kettering University's telephone operator mission is to provide the community with accurate, speedy, and responsive information in a friendly and professional manner. The golden rule is used with every caller--treat the caller as you wish to be treated.

It would be helpful to our callers if your voice mail box was set up and included your name, department name, and your work hours. It is particularly helpful if you are going to be out of your office for an extended period of time, such as a vacation or a conference, that you set up a temporary greeting.

While we would be happy to assist you in directing your calls, our focus is on our external customers. The faculty and staff directory is available for internal use and is located at http://www.kettering.edu/faculty-staff/directory and is searchable by first name, last name, extension, or by department.
