Student Resources

Students at Kettering University have many opportunities beyond the classroom. One of these is Collegiate DECA. DECA is the professional organization for business students. There are regional and national competitions held by DECA.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship Minor

Innovation and Entrepreneurship Minor

Kettering University's minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship gives students the skills and knowledge needed to start new business ventures and to create innovative new products and services in existing firms. The minor comes in response to a growing interest among students in technology focused universities to turn new technology into for-profit and non-profit enterprises.

Information Technology

Information Technology is a cross disciplinary field that involves the acquisition/development, installation, and implementation of computer systems and applications to meet organizational needs. As such, it draws from traditional computer science and business fields. The focus of IT is on meeting organizational needs using commercially available software or hardware.

Any Kettering student can study IT as a minor or as a concentration in the BBA or BSBA degree programs.

Students can complete the Business minor and a minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship in just six courses. Most courses are offered every term and you can begin your sophomore year. The courses cover such topics as:

Co-op Employers

The Business programs at Kettering University are the only undergraduate programs in the country that require their students to spend at least five co-op terms working in their field of study.  Our students bring innovative talents to employers to apply their knowledge in areas of research, development, and production.
