Information Technology

Information Technology is a cross disciplinary field that involves the acquisition/development, installation, and implementation of computer systems and applications to meet organizational needs. As such, it draws from traditional computer science and business fields. The focus of IT is on meeting organizational needs using commercially available software or hardware.

Any Kettering student can study IT as a minor or as a concentration in the BBA or BSBA degree programs.

With just four courses in Business, Kettering students can achieve a minor in Business —which will increase your networking skills, expand your business knowledge, increase your career opportunities, improve your readiness for corporate life, and support your candidacy for an MBA or Engineering Management master’s program.

Students can complete the Business minor and a minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship in just six courses. Most courses are offered every term and you can begin your sophomore year. The courses cover such topics as:

Co-op Experiences

Co-op Employers

The Business programs at Kettering University are the only undergraduate programs in the country that require their students to spend at least five co-op terms working in their field of study.  Our students bring innovative talents to employers to apply their knowledge in areas of research, development, and production.

Things To Do

Things to Do

As you may know, Kettering University was once owned by the automotive giant General Motors. While that no longer is true, we are very proud of our heritage and of the rich history of Flint, the birthplace of the automotive industry. After your visit, you may wish to take advantage of some of the area attractions, many related to this history.
