How long will the ceremony last?

Approximately one and one-half hours.

No. Faculty marshals and staff volunteers will be present on commencement day to guide and lead the graduates through the assembly and ceremony.

No. Graduates indicate their number of guests on their Application to Graduate. (We ask all graduates to limit their number of guests to 8.)

Where should we park?

Parking is available in Lots 3, 4 and the East side of 5. See map

As a service for our visitors, Kettering personnel will be assisting as parking attendants in those lots. All attendants are equipped with radios and are in constant contact with each other in order to help you find the closest available parking space.

Additional parking spaces will be roped off and reserved for handicapped parking in Lot 3. Please ask the attendants for assistance.

All R.V.’s, campers, motor homes, oversized vans and shuttles must park in Lot 4 so Kettering can better accommodate regularly sized vehicles. See map.

For those families hiring private shuttles, please contact Kettering Physical Plant Department at one of the numbers or email addresses below for the route and parking information prior to the date of Commencement. Private shuttles will be directed by parking attendants to pull up into the drive between the C.S. Mott Center and Thompson Hall for disembarking of passengers before being directed to park in Lot 5, East side off of Mathewson.

All driving lanes, fire lanes and driveways must be kept clear for emergency vehicles at all times.

We appreciate your cooperation and hope your visit is an enjoyable one.
