Fitness Assessments

Fitness Assessment TestsFitness Assessments evaluate your current fitness level, aid in development of an exercise program, identify potential health and injury risks, establish fitness goals, and evaluate progress.

Fitness Assessment tests:

  • Resting blood pressure
  • Resting heart rate
  • Body weight
  • Body fat -skinfold pinch test or hand held bioeletric impedance test
  • Cardiorespiratory endurance -cycle test
  • Muscular endurance -push-up test and sit-up test
  • Flexibility -modified sit and reach

Upon completion of your fitness assessment you will receive a print out detailing your assessment results.

Assessments take approximately one-hour to complete. Fitness Assessment preparation guidelines should be followed for accurate assessment results.

Assessments must be scheduled a minimum of 24-hours in advance. Please schedule your assessment at the Recreation Center reception desk. You will meet the Rec Center Fitness Assistant who will be conducting your assessment outside the Sports Supervisor/Assessment Room, located downstairs next to the weight room, on the day of your assessment.

Rec Center Member non-student $10, no deposit required
