Preamble

We, the members of the Alpha Chapter of Pi Gamma Nu, Christian Multicultural Fraternity, chartered on the Kettering University campus located in Flint, Michigan, and established for the purpose of assembling college students to develop leadership, to promote friendship, and to provide service to humanity and patrimony in the manner of fellowship through the Holy Word to praise God's name.

Article I

- Name
The name of this organization is the Alpha Chapter of Pi Gamma Nu Christian Multicultural Fraternity.

Article II

- Purpose
The purpose of this fraternity shall be to practice the teachings of the Word of God through fellowship by being a pillar of patience, love, holiness, faith, purity, godliness, scholarship and character.

Article III

- Membership
The membership of this fraternity shall be based on Article I of the By-Laws.

Article IV

- Officers The fraternity officers shall subsist of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. These officers shall be elected annually, for a term consisting of one year, in correspondence with Article VII of the By-Laws. Article V - Advisor(s) The fraternity advisor(s) shall be elected annually, for a term consisting of one year, in correspondence with Article VII of the By-Laws Article VI - Meetings General membership meetings shall be held BI-weekly, at such a time and place as the Fraternity may select. The President may call special meetings. Article VII - Quorum Three – fifths of the active members shall constitute the quorum to conduct business. Article VIII - Legislation The President shall have the authority upon majority vote, to change the regular meeting day and/or pass a regular meeting or meetings due to special occurrences. Article IX - Amendments The Fraternity may amend any article of this Constitution by a three-fifths vote of its officers present at a special meeting, provided, that such amendment shall have been presented in writing, signed by three or more members, and read in open session at a previous regular meeting. Amendments Article VI: General membership meetings shall be held BI-weekly, at such a time and place as the Fraternity may select. The President may call special meetings. (03/08/02 by M. Hayes)
