The "Cardinal Scholarship" Program

This scholarship was established to help give a hardworking Flint college student the opportunity to continue their education.


One Scholarship of $500 was awarded this year


The qualifications for awards are as follows:

  • A minority college student
  • studying in one of the 4 Mu Phi Chapter schools
    • Kettering University (GMI)
    • University of Michigan-Flint
    • Baker College
    • Detroit College of Business-Flint
  • who has a minimum 2.5 G.P.A.
  • turns in a completed application by April 26, 1999
  • and attends the Scholarship Ball

Applying for the program consists of two parts:

  1. The application form, detailing academic, personal, and public service history, should be either typed or neatly handwritten in black pen.
  2. The essay question should be answered by each applicant on a separate page, according to specifications detailed on the application form. Applicant's essays will be judged in lue that the first place winner will read their entry at the Scholarship Ball.
