Recently the OSR subscribed to a service with InfoEd Global to assist Kettering faculty and staff in finding grant and contract opportunities. SPIN is web-based for access from anywhere, easy to use out-of-the-box, and can be customed to bring back precisely the results you want. SPIN offers active searching, automated opportunity matching, and daily opportunity notifications. Create a individual profile in the SMARTS/GENIUS website to receive e-mail notifications of opportunites that match your profile keywords. Check out the tools to the right to get you started. Any questions can be directed to either Jill or Jodi in the OSR.
Effective January 20, 2012, all sponsored contract and grant proposals require Department Head, Sponsored Research Office, and in some cases, Provost approval prior to submission to the funder. The Proposal Approval Form is now available on the Office of Sponsored Research website for this purpose. Going forward, research proposals will not be submitted without an approved Proposal Approval Form. To help ensure a successful proposal submission, the following should be completed at least 10 days prior to the proposal due date: 1.) Complete and route the Proposal Approval Form; 2.) Meet with Jill Williams in the Office of Sponsored Research to discuss the budget and other proposal requirements.
