No Cost One-on-One Counseling

Counseling is available at no cost to individuals who want to improve, revitalize or expand their companies, or develop a new venture. To obtain counseling assistance, please complete the Counseling Application on the MI-SBTDC State Headquarters website.

Training

Low-cost and no-cost training sessions are available through MI-SBTDC that cover a broad range of topics from starting a business, securing financing, writing a business and marketing plans, financial management, to exporting and tax issues. Seminars, workshops and programs are offered throughout the year and throughout the state. Market Research

As part of the MI-SBTDC network and through the Seidman College of Business Information Services at Grand Valley State University, SBTDC counselors can access essential data on a wide range of topics including market research that can be useful for developing a new company and/or for an existing firm to gain a competitive edge.  

Technology Commercialization

The Michigan Small Business and Technology Development Center Tech Team is a state funded initiative that enables entrepreneurs to bridge the gap between technology development and commercialization.  Our statewide team consists of ten consultants with proven track records of technology commercialization.
