SSH Client Installation

SSH Client Installation

To install the SSH Client, do the following:

1. Download the SSH Client from here.
   
2. Depending on your browser, you will need to click open, or find the downloaded file and double click on it.
   
3. After some brief initialization, you will be presented with the following:
   
   
   

   Click "Next"
   

4. You will next see the following screen:
   
   
   

   After reading through the license agreement, click "Yes"
   

5. This next screen should appear
   
   
   

   You may change the directory, but the default is fine, click "Next"
   

6. You will now be prompted to select a program folder
   
   
   

   Again, the default is fine, click "Next"
   

7. You will next be prompted to choose components
   
   
   

   Click "Next"
   

8. The next screen is just to confirm.
   
   
   

   Click "Next" here, and wait for the install to complete
   

9. This screen will confirm a successful install.
   
   
   

   Click "Finish"

10. The first time that you connect you will need to enter in the following information:

    Host Name: This will normally be nova.kettering.edu but could be something else such as webtech.kettering.edu for certain courses.

    User Name: refers to your Kettering user name):
