Telephone Purchasing Instructions

If you would like to purchase a premium analog or digital phone, please contact the Help Desk at extension 8324. Provide them with the information regarding which models you would like and how many you are purchasing, as well as which account number your department will be using for payment. 

The Help Desk staff will generate the funds request and forward it to you for your supervisor's signature and submission to the Purchasing Department. Please do not generate a funds request on your own or have the equipment delivered to your department, even if you have done so in the past, as all installations must be coordinated through the Help Desk to insure efficient and timely installation and set up. 

At that time the Help Desk will also generate a work order in FootPrints to have the telephone installed upon delivery. Also please let the Help Desk know what number(s) the phone(s) will be given and any special key configurations that are necessary so that information can be included on the work order. The phone(s) will be delivered to Electronic Systems for installation and configuration. When Electronics receives the phone from the vendor, they will then coordinate with you on the best time to install the phone and where it is being installed. 

It generally takes 1 to 2 weeks to receive the equipment and a day or two to install depending on any special configurations, but can take longer depending on availability. Most telephones we do not support cannot be configured to work with our system. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Help Desk at extension 8324.
