  • Educational Assistance/Educational Benefits
    The University provides some financial assistance for the educational pursuits of you and, in some situations, your dependents. The University encourages you to broaden your knowledge and develop your job related skills. For this reason, the University provides financial assistance for you to participate in degree programs at other institutions of higher education.  
  • Employee Assitance Program
    Ulliance, (formerly known as TEAM), provides assistance for you and your eligible family members.  This is a totally confidental free service by counseling professionals who are qualified and skilled in assisting people with a wide range of problems and life challenges.  You may either select the Employee Assistance Program link above or call their Toll free number at 1-888-333-6269.
  • Flex Spending
    Flexible Spending Accounts let you set aside money from your paycheck before federal, state or city income taxes or Social Security taxes are deducted. Reimbursement is tax-free, too. You pay no taxes on the money you contribute to and receive from either reimbursement account.  You may set up a health care account, a dependent care account, or both.   
  • Identity Theft
    Identity Theft Shield, offered through Pre-Paid Legal Services, is fully funded by the employee. Identify Theft Shield will provide continuous credit monitoring and identity restoration.
  • Michigan Educational Savings Plan (MESP)
    The MESP (529-college savings plan) offered through the Michigan Department of Treasury, provides your family with a smart, flexible way to save for your children’s educational future. MESP offers a choice of investment options and tax advantages.
  • Prepaid Legal
    Pre-Paid Legal Services coverage is fully funded by the employee and offers you assistance in IRS Audits, Preventive Legal Services (including legal document review, will preparation and updates), and Motor Vehicle Legal Service and up to 75 hours of Trial Defense Service with your first membership year.
  • Recreation Center 
    As a Kettering employee you can take advantage of the fully equipped 75,000 square foot Recreation Center at no charge.  Employees have free access to exercise equipment, pool, spa, raquetball, tennis and basketball courts.  Family members may also join for a minimal fee.  Stay fit, get fit and stay healthy!
  • Tuition Waiver Program
    Kettering University generously offers its employees and family members (that meet the Tuition Waiver Program requirements) the opportunity to participate gaining a valuable education right here within our university. 
  • Tuition Exchange Program
    Kettering is a member of the Tuition Exchange Program which allows the possibility of children of Kettering's faculty and staff to obtain a scholarship to attend another college or university.  The number of students that may participate in this program is limited by the number of import students (students from other colleges or universities that meet the guidelines set by the Tuition Exchange Program and desire to attend Kettering).
