II. e-Cashier 3-Month Payment Plan Option
Budgeting your tuition through e-Cashier in three monthly payments
To help you meet your educational expenses, Kettering University has teamed with Nelnet Business Solutions (NBS, formerly known as FACTS Management Company) and is pleased to offer e-Cashier as an optional and convenient budget plan. e-Cashier is a tuition management plan that provides you with a low cost option for budgeting tuition. It is not a loan program; therefore, you have no debt, there are no interest or finance charges assessed and there is no credit check. The cost to budget monthly payments through NBS is a $25.00 per term non-refundable enrollment fee.* The non-refundable enrollment fee will be automatically debited from the account indicated on the NBS Agreement Form.
You must enroll in the e-Cashier Payment Plan online in order to budget your tuition in three equal monthly payments.
Using e-Cashier is simple.
You can conveniently budget your tuition in one of two ways . . .
A. Automatic Bank Payment (ACH) - ACH payments are those payments you have authorized NBS to process directly with your financial institution. It is simply a bank-to-bank transfer of funds that you have pre-approved for your expenses at Kettering University. Payments may be made from either your checking or savings account. Payments are processed on the 5th of each month and will continue until the balance due to the university is paid in full. If a payment is missed, it will be reattempted on the 20th and a missed payment fee will be assessed.
Example: 2012-2013 Tuition
$742.00/credit hour x 4 credit hours = $2,968.00/3 months = $989.33/monthly payments + $25.00 enrollment feeB. Credit Card Option - Many students have requested the option of charging their monthly tuition payment to American Express, Discover, or MasterCard. This enables you to take advantage of various bonus programs offered by your credit card company. If you elect to use this option, your monthly payment along with a convenience fee will be automatically charged to the credit card you designate. The convenience fee is in addition to the nonrefundable enrollment fee. Payments will be charged on the 5th of each month until the balance is paid in full. If a payment is missed, it will be reattempted on the 20th and a missed payment fee will be assessed.
Example: 2012-2013 Tuition
$742.00/credit hour x 4 credit hours = $2,968.00
+ 2.5% convenience fee = $3,042.20/3 months = $1,014.06/monthly payments + $25.00 enrollment fee
